Editorial policy and research standards

We write independent planning guides from official and primary sources. We do not invent first-hand stays, prices or ratings. Time-sensitive claims stay flagged until checked. Corrections focus on operational accuracy for travellers.

What sources do we use?

Village, transport and attraction advice begins with destination associations, operators and property websites. We paraphrase and cite sources rather than copying marketing copy. Claims that still need confirmation are marked in the manuscript for editorial review.

What we do not claim

We do not invent personal overnight stays, guest ratings, exact prices or unverified facilities. A shortlist explains trade-offs; it is not a paid ranking. Room baths, meals and access rules must be confirmed with the property for your dates.

Booking and experience links may earn a commission when configured. They do not decide which villages or inns appear, and they do not replace official confirmation. See the affiliate disclosure.

How are corrections handled?

Operational changes take priority. We revise the affected English guide and, where a Traditional Chinese counterpart exists, review that version too. The frontmatter updated date records a material editorial change. Contact details for corrections are on the contact page once the publisher channel is configured.

Language editions

English uses root URLs. Traditional Chinese uses /zh-tw/ with zh-Hant-TW language tagging. Reciprocal hreflang appears only after both real counterparts are approved. Chinese drafts may retain a native-review marker until a proficient Taiwan-language review is complete.
